I met Amy and Nick some time back. Within a few minutes of our initial consultation I knew their wedding was not only going to be beautiful, but this couple was going to be amazing to work with.
Amy and Nick were to be married at the Ringling Museum. My assistant and I arrived early to check out the grounds. The venue was nothing short of amazing, covered with bamboo and banyon trees, a sculpture, and water.
We headed over to Hotel Indigo where the bridal party was getting ready. What an awesome hotel, full of bright, vibrant color.
I walked in and was greeted with a huge smile and hug from Amy. She’s awesome!! It’s as if we had been friends forever. I have to say that Amy is one of the most sweetest people I have come to meet. So genuine, so full of love for her family and friends. It was evident just how much everyone loved her.
Nick was up for anything. My assistant, Tiffani, photographed him and the guys getting ready and their group shots. I am sorry I missed out on all the fun. They apparently were a blast and full of their own great ideas! lol
After we photographed the bridal party getting ready we headed over (separately) to the museum. We hid Amy and Nick from each other until the appropriate time. Amy and Nick decided prior that they would be seeing each other before the ceremony. I love when my brides and grooms make this decision. It is such an intimate moment when you see each other for the first time. They were able to share their *first look* with no one else around. It was a beautiful moment and I love that I was able to capture it.
The ceremony was beautiful. I enjoyed the pastor’s words of wisdom and his sense of humor. It truly was an amazing ceremony.
The reception was held in the back of the mansion with the water in the background. The details were amazing.

*Their FIRST LOOK! Love this series!!*

*After their first look I was able to spend some time with just Amy and Nick without feeling rushed to get to the reception. We were able to capture some amazing shots of just the two of them. Another reason I love when couples see each other prior to the ceremony.

*For those of you who are gasping, wondering how I could ask her to sit in the dirt and why should would agree to it, especially before the ceremony, no worries. We placed a plastic bag from one of the dresses underneath her first.*

*I caught a glimpse of Amy practicing her vows through this banyon tree.*

Amy and Nick, thank you so very much for choosing me to capture your special day. You two are truly amazing. I wish you the best in all life brings your way.
