We arrived at the Don Cesar early. I like to arrive a little early to all of my events to scope out cool places to photograph my clients. It was a beautiful day, sunny, warm, and breezy. I just love the smell of salty beach air. This would be the first time I would meet Ellen and Chad. My assistant and I walked around and saw a woman in a wedding dress and commented on how beautiful she looked and we loved her dress. Little did we know, it was Ellen.
We met Chad first, as we chatted with the wedding coordinator. We then snuck in on Ellen as she was having her veil put on. She welcomed us with the most warm, kind smile. I knew right away we were going to have a blast. Ellen was full of these wonderful expressions, full of laughter, and you couldn’t help but just love her. Chad and Ellen have two beautiful children as well. It was great following them around exploring and playing. Ellen and Chad saw each other before the ceremony. I just love when couples do this. In the past I have found that couples find that *first look* to be more intimate when it’s just the two of them. Plus it gives me more time to spend with them capturing the two of them interacting with each other without the pressure of time constraints.
The ceremony was beautiful. The breeze blowing, the sun shining, and the sound of the ocean in the background, PERFECT! “God Bless the Broken Road” (a song that describes my life) was sung during the ceremony. Many tears were shed and I witnessed the amazing love these two amazing share. I loved how Chad reached out and touched Ellen’s arm as they listened to the song describing their life. Then an embrace, a sweet kiss. See below.
The reception was a blast! I love when the guests get out there DANCE and have fun! Josh from Inspire Entertainment was the DJ who rocked the reception. You will see that even the kids rocked it out.
Well, now is the time to grab your cup of coffee or tea if you are like me and relax, because the next part of this post is fully loaded with a heaping amount of RADNESS so brace yourself!
*I love how they looked over at their little boys during the song…*
