Monthly Archives: July 2008

*Christmas in July: Holiday Sessions*

It’s that time of year again. Time to start thinking about your holiday sessions. I have now opened my calendar up for holiday portrait sessions. These dates go very fast so if you are in need of portraits for your holiday cards, holiday gifts, or just because then it’s time to book. :) Please contact me and I can give you my availability.
This year is a bit different from the past years in that I am taking fewer portrait sessions this holiday season due to the amount of weddings I have coming up.

Cutoff dates are as follows:
Last day for Holiday Portrait Sessions: November 15, 2008
Last day to order portraits to receive in time for Christmas: December 1, 2008

I am also thinking of doing one day of mini sessions this season. A mini-session consists of approximately 30 minutes with a limited number of photos taken. If you are interested in having a mini sessions for your holiday portraits, please contact me a.s.a.p. so that I can get a count and set up a date.

Jessica + Jason : E-Session

I had such a blast photographing Jessica and Jason on Saturday. They were so fun to work with. It was awesome to photograph the love these two share. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in September.

J + J, thank you for getting up early on a Saturday morning to meet me and for bearing with the heat! I had a great time getting to know you. I am so excited to photograph your special day. I will be in touch soon with your slideshow.

We’re back!! (LOooooonnnnG post ahead….photo overload!)

We had a great time in Key West. It was a long drive but being with people who make you laugh makes it all worth it.
I realize that as my boys get older these trips will become fewer, so this summer I have really taken advantage of all the mini vacation opportunities that have come up.

JO and JC were so good in the car, despite the fact that our dvd player broke as we were pulling out of the driveway. Jo had the backseat all to himself, although I think he got a bit lonely back there. JC sat in the middle next to one of his favorite people “ka-ka” (that’s Jessica). He just loves her to death. My brother, Kevin, rode in the front while I drove.

We were all tired after the long drive. After visiting Duval street and grabbing something to eat, we headed back to the hotel. My crazy brother Kevin is always the life of the party. He’ll do anything to make you laugh. Remember this?! (Remind me to tell you stories of when he was younger.)
So, we are driving back to the hotel, in the mini van. Kevin is driving, I am in the passenger seat, Jessica (Kev’s g/f) and JC in the middle, and JO in the back. Kevin decides to be silly and “Holla @ the girls.” I could not stop laughing…in the mini van, with the *mom* bike on the back and here he is slowing down when he sees a girl….”Eh Girl!” with a little tilt of his head. He’s so crazy.*
j

*We listened to “Free and Easy” by Dierks Bentley via the MAC the entire way back to the hotel, thanks to JO who is totally addicted to this song right now.
j

*The next day Kevin rented a scooter. JO got to ride on it to the beach. He had a blast. Gosh, he looks so grown!!*
j

*And the beach…. apparently Key West is not known for their beaches, despite what one local told us. I much prefer the west coast…Longboat Key.
But we still had fun.*

Okay, that’s it for now.
Stay tuned for part two coming up soon.

I need to catch up on some proofing.
