She’s going to be okay.

I just got a call from Nana.  Madilynn is going to be okay.  She didn’t have an appendix but he said that she didn’t really need it anyway.   Maddy was missing some of her large intestine but they were able to attach it to another part of her intestine.  The doctors said they hadn’t seen anything like that in 20 years and only a few cases.   Maddy is truly a miracle baby.  She will be in the hospital for a couple of months so please keep her, Ashley, and John in your prayers through this time of recovery.

PRAISE GOD!

He Loves US!

I am not questioning God “Why?” this is happening with baby Maddy. I know that God is in control and HE has a purpose for this time in our lives. I am at a loss for words as I pray for Madilynn. In tears, I ask God to “make everything okay.” Then I am reminded how Jesus prayed for God’s will. So, I lay here (I’m sick) in my bed, tears streaming, that God will use this time in our lives to strengthen our faith, to bring us closer to Him.

I came across this on another photog’s blog and I am sure everyone will get something different out of it.What I got out of it, that through difficult times in our lives, through pain, doubt, and struggling, God is still here. He’s calling us to Him, reminding us that HE is in control. It’s through these emotional struggles that we are brought closer to him. Our faith is strengthened. Our relationship with HIM is deeper, if we allow it to be.

Update on Baby Maddy

Please, please keep baby Maddy in your prayers. She is going in for surgery shortly to see is she has enough of her intestine to survive. John (Maddy’s daddy) said Maddy is so strong, she isn’t in pain as this was something she was born with and all she’s ever known. I will try to keep the blog updated as I find out more. Thank you to all of you who are already praying.
