So, I have been looking forward to this newborn session ever since I did mom’s maternity session. D and S are such a great couple to work with. Love that they are up for trying new things.
Baby L is so precious and let me tell you he was AWESOME. He let us do anything. We could move him, he would sleep, fold him, he slept and if he did cry it would be just one little cry and he would go back to sleep. Honestly, I know most of it has to do with the fact that mom and dad were so calm, so relaxed, so laid-back.
So, L is 10 days old today. Yep, fresh out of the oven, still curling up nicely!
We got GREAT shots, I felt so good about this session.
I couldn’t wait to get home and open up some of the photos.
So, I get home, take my card out of my camera (D and S don’t read this *wink*) put it in my card reader and it says “No images on card.” WHAAAAATTTT!!!?? Okay don’t panic. I was eating a chik fil a sandwich while all of this was happening and I suddenly felt sick. I couldn’t finish the sandwich…I put the card back in my camera (I had scrolled through the images on my camera before I left the session and everything was in tact) and it said, “No images on card.” Okay, by this time I am panicking. How could such a wonderful session turn bad??!!!
I prayed so hard, seriously!! I just couldn’t bare the thought of losing all of these wonderful photos.
After much prayer, and a scare when the shuttle came back in the atmosphere (did you central Floridians here that? I thought there was a gun fight going on outside my house, my entire house shook, literally!), I found an image recovery program online. After some big bucks spent on the recovery program, ALL of the images were recovered. THANK GOD!!!!!
So, D and S, no fear. We don’t have to re-do the session. I have saved all of the photos to my computer! I grabbed one quick shot from the computer to share.
Look at this little face!!

I will have more to come later.
Must get to bed.
P.S. For any photographers out there reading or anyone who uses any type of media card in their digital camera, I just read that you aren’t supposed to delete images until AFTER you have saved the photos to your computer as this can corrupt the card. Here’s what I mean, normally if I am at a session and I get a shot that is out of focus, I delete it in the camera. Well, apparently this is a no-no. So, I won’t be doing that anymore. Also, always remember to format after you take your photos off of your card.
