Model Call: Looking for models (adults only this time) for an upcoming project. Date is May 22. Time and location: TBD. We will be doing a few different types of sessions.
Looking for:

1. women ages 18+

2. a couple to model

3. Women ages 18 and up who are willing to “Trash the Dress”

What you will receive:
You will receive a full resolution, fully retouched DVD of your photos. If you are interested in modeling and/or trashing your dress, please email me with your name, age, and a recent photo to: photosbyrachel@aol.com

*A Model’s Release form is required by each model to participate, giving Rachel Absher Photography full rights to use your images for advertising, publishing purposes, etc.

Amanda and Pete met while attending Florida Southern. They’ve been married for 2 years now. This is around the time it takes for many of the brides who come to me take to Trash the Dress. (Although, I have been getting more and more brides wanting to Trash their Dress soon after the wedding.) Amanda, like many brides, realized that her dress was just sitting in a box and her daughter probably would NOT wear it one day.

Amanda and Pete were awesome to work with. I loved Amanda’s laugh. Every time I would tell her to give me a serious look she would start cracking up! Then I would start cracking up. We had a blast the entire session.

Yeah, they pretty much WORKED IT OUT!!

Amanda, I told you I wouldn’t be able to wait to see these!!!

I met Angela 4 years ago. She was walking through Ross with the cutest preggo belly and I knew I had to approach her. I told her I was a photographer and would love to shoot her cute little belly. Angela called me a few days later to set up the first of many sessions. The rest…HISTORY. I’ve photographed her wedding reception, her baby’s newborn photos, and numerous family sessions. I have grown to love this family. So, when Angela approached me about Trashing her Dress, well, to say I was excited was an understatement. Then when she mentioned she would like to do the session in Boca Grande I was even more excited.
I could hardly call this session a job. We spend most of the day on their boat (stay tuned for their family session in another post), in the water, and I even tried my first raw oyster. We were chased by dolphins, our skin was sun-kissed, we cooled off at the sandbar and I got to hang out with two very cool little (er sorry Au, you aren’t so little anymore) dudes. It was a perfect day.
