I’ve been so anxious to blog Bethany and Ryan’s Day After session. First stop lunch at Chipotle in San Francisco. Bethany and Ryan my taste buds thank you for my first experience with a mega burrito, my stomach…not so much!
After lunch we headed over to Santa Cruz. The drive was beautiful. I love driving through the mountains and taking in all of the amazing views. We arrived at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk ready to roll. First stop, cotton candy, then lollipops, and ferris wheels, and tons of fun. I just love these two.

I’m a mom, I’m a photographer, amongst many other things. I’ve found that though the two can be interchangeable they aren’t always present at the same time. I try so hard to capture the special moments in my children’s lives. Sometimes it’s more difficult then one might think. I sometimes wonder if being a photographer (at least for me) makes it even more difficult to capture my children in photographs. This weekend was my youngest baby’s birthday. He turned 4. 4!!! I can hardly believe it. I took my camera out and barely used it. I put so much time into planning his birthday party, a carnival theme. You would have thought I would have photographed all the details, him opening his presents, blowing out his candle… I didn’t. On his birthday, I took off the photographer hat (at least for most of it) and focused on him, and the other kids, and having fun. Although I am a photographer and I love it, my most favorite part of me is being a mom to these two special boys God has given me the privilege of raising. (Oh and being a wife is my most favorite too, I love you hubby!) So, I don’t really have photos to share. Except a couple that I took before all of the guests arrive, snapshots of Jace’s first gift of the day.

And one of my #1 who just turned 8!!

I have been so excited for this family session. I knew we would be getting dirty but I had no idea they would jump right in, AWESOME!!
I had a great time with the “P” family. They totally rocked this session. Baby boy had no complaints about getting dirty either!
Thank you, P family for being so awesome.
